Following the success of their first world tour last year that was the first-ever case for a Korean girl group, 2NE1 kicks off their second world tour in 1 year and three months.
2NE1 begins the world tour on March 1 and 2 next year, at Olympic Park’s SK Handball Hall, located in Bangi-dong, Seoul. In 2NE1’s second world tour, total 17 concerts will be held in 13 cities including Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Yokohama, in 9 countries including Korea, Japan, and China. However, there is a high chance of additional concerts, as 2NE1 is receiving a flood of s for more concerts in other cities.
2NE1 is the only original hip-hop girl group in Korea, who has showcased a variety of new musical trials and produced a number of hit songs. Based on such achievements, 2NE1 has established itself as a special girl group who leads Korea’s music scene. In 2012, 2NE1 held the first-ever world tour concert for a Korean girl group under the title of “NEW EVOLUTION” and displayed their originality and talent to fans around the world. The concert drew all the more attention as it was produced in collaboration with LIVE NATION, the world-best production agency which produced world tour of Lady GaGa, Madonna, and U2, as well as world-famous staff.
2NE1’s first world tour was selected as one of the “Best Concerts of 2012” by New York Time of the United States, and 2NE1’s potential as a global performing artist was recognized.
The new world tour of 2NE1 is arousing more curiosity and expectations as its title and concept have not been disclosed yet. Since 2NE1 has shown a broadened musical spectrum and different colors during this year with three new songs “FALLING IN LOVE”, “DO YOU LOVE ME”, and “MISSING YOU”, they are expected to captivate fans around the world with their flagship unique songs, colorful stage costumes, and powerful performance on the stage of their new world tour.
