As the year-end music festivals are preparing to wrap up 2013 with a bang, one of the questions on everyone's mind is whether YG Entertainment would refrain from participating in the 'KBS Daejun' for the fourth year in a row.
One KBS rep said on December 9, "We have not determined the singers who will be taking part in 'KBS Daejun.'" One rep also said, "We asked YG Entertainment to appear at the 'KBS Daejun' on December 27 . . . YG Entertainment told us that they will discuss whether they would take part after looking at Big Bang, 2NE1, and other signed artists' year-end concert and Korean performance schedules . . . We are waiting for YG's response."
Producer Park Joong Min said, "It is true that we asked YG Entertainment to appear, but it is still under discussion. Once the list of appearing singers has been finalized, we will reveal it," and, "Currently, the production team is mediating with YG Entertainment on whether the agency will be taking part."
However, some people have been saying, "YG Entertainment declined due to scheduling problems." Meanwhile, YG Entertainment has not provided any definite answers on the matter.
